Containing various events and dungeons, this area leads to the Khasim Outpost, and then continues on the other side, all the way to Alcarnus The Stinging sands is directly north of the waypoint for the Black Canyon Mines. The Black Canyon Mines are the second part of the desert, and is where the waypoint is found for the area. Highly populated by Lacuni and Imps, The Plateau is also home to several Events and dungeons. However, this beautiful city is under attack by Belial, the Lord of Lies, and it falls on you to expose his lies to the truth.Ī searing desert, The Howling Plateau falls in the way to Alcarnus. ![]() The Hub world for act II, Caldeum, or, the Jewel of the East, is a huge city set in a desert. All the heavy hitters in act I are present here, and leads to an ultimate confrontation with the Act I boss, the Butcher. The final levels before the end of the act, the Halls of Agony boast a powerful amount of strong enemies. The Manor leads to the entrance to the Halls of Agony. This Mansion is infested with Cultists, and simply entering prompts a huge battle. The highlands continue all the way to the entrance of Leorics Manor It is also notable for the relatively high amount of treasure goblins that can be found here. Near the entrance to her chambers, you will come across the old hermit again, and find out his ultimate fate.Ĭonsisting of both the Northern and Southern Highlands, this wide expanse is covered with khazra and beasts. North of Wortham, These caverns are covered in spiders, and lead up to the 2nd mini-boss battle with spider Queen Aranae herself. While not accessible in the beta, the Ferryman in New Tristram does reveal that he travels to Wortham when things are less crazy in the area. There's a Waypoint in the middle of the Cemetery. Once you fight through the third Defiled Crypt, you'll fight Chancellor Eamon for the Skeleton King's crown in A Shattered Crown. The Cemetery of the Forsaken holds Chancellor Eamon's crown, if you can find the right Defiled Crypt. The Weeping Hollow is full of different types of Enemies and beware of the Crawling Corpses coming out of the bushes. There are Waypoints in the Cathedral Garden, Cathedral Level 3, and in The Royal Crypts. The Cathedral is made up of multiple floors and full of Enemies you'll discover in the quests like The Legacy of Cain and Reign of the Black King. The Fallen Star hit The Cathedral directly, and Deckard Cain went missing here. With Leah in tow, you'll slink into the basement of the hut to get the key into The Old Cathedral. There's a Waypoint near the Northeast gate. The Old Ruins hold some familiar signs from the original game, as they're the home of the original Tristram destroyed in Diablo I. This is where you'll find The Wretched Queen in The Fallen Star quest. The bodies of Dead Stristram Militia, Adventures, and stumps should provide you with some additional gold. This open expansive area is full of Risen, Walking Corpses, and Wretched Mothers. If you search Deckard Cain's House you can find Deckard Cain's Journal Part I, which will give you 120 XP and additional lore. You can find Leah's Journal Part I on the desk, which will give you 120 XP and new lore. There's a Waypoint in the center of town. Walking through the streets of New Tristram you'll find the Blacksmith Haedrig Aemon, several merchants, and Leah Cain. The opening of Diablo III drops you on Overlook Road, a few paces before reaching New Tristram. ![]()
